HYATTSVILLE, Md. (WJLA) — Two people are wanted after an attempted armed robbery of a Brinks armored truck Tuesday morning in Hyattsville, Maryland.
The Hyattsville Police Department said officers responded to the 5500 block of Baltimore Avenue where two armed suspects approached the vehicle before fleeing the scene in a minivan-style car.
During the encounter, police said the driver of the armored vehicle discharged his firearm at the suspects.
It is not yet known if either suspect was injured in the exchange, but police said that the driver was not injured.
